"The CORE program has been a great way to get to know people who are involved in my fields of interest and who can offer many helpful insights about future career opportunities. Peers from the program are very supportive and are always great listeners."

"The CORE program has just been a wonderful experience. CORE not only allowed me to have an internship which was a great experience, but I have also just had a great time meeting with the fellow members and leaders to talk and travel."

Thien Pham

Graduated in Spring 2015 with a BA in International Studies

Thien is currently volunteering with Iowa Legal Aid through AmeriCorps and is applying to law schools.

"I've benefitted from the CORE program in many ways, both spiritually and academically, and continue to do so today. I started my senior year at the University of Iowa with only the intention of completing my undergraduate studies but after becoming a participant in the fellowship program, I have decided to pursue further education in law school. This decision came out of both the initial retreat in Iowa City and the end-of-the-year retreat in Michigan. Both retreats have pointed me in the direction of learning more the justice system and human rights. The Spring retreat especially helped me grow closer to God and understand my vocation in life."
