Faith & Learning Award

The Geneva Lecture Committee seeks to foster an awareness of the relevance of the Christian faith to the mission of the University in its academic, artistic, and professional endeavors.  To that end, in 1997 the Committee created the annual Faith and Learning Award.  It is presented to a past or present member of the University of Iowa Community (faculty, staff, researcher, student, etc.) who has made significant contributions to the life and work of the University through the integration of his/her Christian faith with learning and service.

These contributions may come in a variety of forms such as teaching, research, mentoring, writing, speaking, developing programs, involvement in Christian or other organizations, and so forth.  The recipient of this award is a person who has demonstrated through such activities that the life of the mind is an important context for the service of God.
