Montana CMDA Conference

August 19-21, 2016 | Big Sky, MT

Medicine as a profession and the future of healthcare in the United States is in the process of profound change that will have a direct impact on the quality of care patients experience, patient wellbeing and patient access to healthcare. These changes are also intruding on the personal and professional lives of healthcare professionals, affecting their motivation to remain in the healthcare field and their financial ability to do so. Economic threats to the U.S. and global financial systems, including widespread debt and volatility, will pressure monies available for healthcare, further exacerbating patients’ ability to afford healthcare, employers’ ability to sponsor healthcare coverage for employees and the governments’ ability to provide for the poor/ disabled (Medicaid) and retired (Medicare). Going forward, this will increasingly stress the system.
